How to care for Sakuran Nuno-Zori (cloth sandals)

1. Sakuran Nuno-Zori (cloth sandals) are washable, so you can keep them clean.

How to wash Nuno-Zori

You can put the cloth sandals in a laundry net and wash them in the washing machine. You can wash them together with a bath mat, etc.

Please make sure to dry them thoroughly. They may not dry sufficiently in one day, so we recommend hanging them out to dry for about two days. (We do not recommend using a dryer.)

Due to the nature of cotton, the width will shrink slightly after washing, returning them to their original state before wearing, and they will be comfortable to wear.

The warm fleece sandals can also be washed in the same way.
If the hanao or thong becomes loose, you can adjust it yourself.

2. Sakuran will fix it for free

How to fix a hanao or thong

Look at the back of the cloth sandals.
There is a small knot in the cloth/fabric base about 5cm from the toe, so pull it out little by little, adjust the strength and re-tie it. Cut off about 5cm of the fabric.

3. We will replace the entire hanao or thong.

Replacement of a hanao or thong

If you can still wear the base, but would like a new hanao or thong, we will replace the entire hanao or thong. It's fun to change the look by changing the pattern with possible different pattern of hanao or thong.

Replacement of hanao or thnong: Y 1,000 for materials (shipping fees not included)

In summer, cloth sandals are often worn barefoot, so they will be washed more frequently. It is convenient to have an extra pair to wash, and the way the Sakuran Nuno-Zori (cloth sandals) wear out will be different, so you can wear them for a longer period of time. Please feel free to contact us.
